We've been working, learning and teaching from home for months now. The puzzles are completed, the shows have all been watched, and gaming has taken the place of baseball practice and dance class.
Maybe now is the time to prioritize our physical, mental, and emotional well-being by practicing great habits to boost our health, energy, positivity and overall wellness! Challenge Accepted!
1. Hold the warrior II pose for 3 minutes each side.
2. Do 100 jumping jacks - not necessarily at once. 3. Call or FaceTime someone you care about and haven’t spoken to in a while. 4. Practice diaphragmatic breathing right when you wake up, before you eat lunch, before you eat dinner and right before bed time - see our daily video for an example! 5. Do 100 squats and 100 crunches - not necessarily all at once. 6. Forgive someone for something big or small. You may need to forgive yourself first. 7. Eat your rainbow! Eat whole foods the color of the rainbow. 8. Learn a new dance. Try the one we've posted or share your own! 9. Organize a closet, room or drawer. 10. Write a detailed list of your accomplishments and strengths. 11. Make a big promise to someone you love. 12. Do a community service. 13. Do something that expresses your creativity that you don’t usually do; draw, cook, dance, paint, sing, craft, create! 14. Sit in silence for 5 minutes and just notice what comes up. Focus on your breathing and view your thoughts as if they are a movie that you’re watching. Breathe. 15. Do 50 push-ups today - 100 if you need a bigger challenge! 16. Perform an act of kindness – nothing is too big or too small! 17. Disconnect to Reconnect! Separate from your phone for at least THREE hours during the day. Share your experience. 18. Do 8 sun salutations in a row if you’ve never done them before, 15 if you’ve practiced them before and 33 if you are an advanced yogi/athlete - look for our video demonstration. 19.
